We will be timing and scoring the JV race as well as the Varsity, so we need the name of every runner who will participate in the meet. Since scoring is by number, we don’t need you to specify Varsity or JV squads. Please submit boys and girls teams separately. Please attempt to get the entries in by August 26. Additions can be made on the day of the meet. EMAIL questions to <a href="mailto:lccxc@aol.com">lccxc@aol.com</a>.<br /><br /><strong>Awards<br /></strong>Overall Invitational Champion boys and girls Varsity teams will take home our perpetual trophy, “The Bishop’s Cup,” an 18” crystal cup. In addition to awards for the overall winners, two trophies for Divisional Champions (Overall Champion will not be eligible for divisional championship)based on school enrollment (two equal sized divisions will be determined once all entries are confirmed). Winner of the large school division will receive the Knights of Columbus Award. The winner of the small school division will receive the St. Francis Award. Team trophies will also be awarded to the top two JV teams. Members of all ten winning teams get a Michigan Catholic running bag. The top 20 varsity boys and girls and top 10 JV boys and girls will medal, plus the top 10 varsity boys and girls also get “Champion” t-shirts.<br /><br /><strong>Check-In and Team Tents<br /></strong>Coaches can pick up team packets in the Race Office, adjacent to the Vendor Tent. A fully staffed first aid station also will be located on site. Team tents can be placed on the perimeter of the field in front of the stage.<br /><br /><strong>Parking<br /></strong>Free parking is available on site for spectators. School buses will park on site.<br /><br /><strong>Admission</strong><br />Admission is $5 per person or $20 per family.<br /><br /><strong>Michigan Catholic T-shirts<br /></strong>We will have two t-shirt styles for sale – a traditional short sleeved shirt for $10 and long sleeved shirt for $15. Coaches receive complimentary long-sleeve “Coach” shirts at lunch.<br /><br /><strong>Concessions</strong><br />The Michigan Catholic features a huge vendor tent sponsored by the Michigan Catholic Credit Union. The tent offers a variety of foods as well as snacks such as popcorn, candy and Italian ice. Complete lunches will be available for under $5.<br /><br /><strong>Enjoy the property</strong><br />St. Francis Retreat Center is a beautiful 95 acre campus. Kids can bring Frisbees, footballs, even volleyballs – there is a sand court. Find more about the facility through the Michigan Catholic Invitational web site. St. Francis Retreat Center offers an extremely cost-effective package to house your team overnight on August 26, including a pasta dinner for athletes and opportunities for bonfires, teambuilding and fun. ADs and coaches should watch their mailboxes for more information.<br /><br />Once again the The Knights of Columbus will be a major sponsor of the the meet which is run at the St. Francis Retreat Center in DeWitt, Michigan and hosted by Lansing Catholic High School. All Catholic high schools in the state of Michigan are invited.
